Dikeledi Mamello Maboea Lyimo holds an MSc (Eng.) and BSc. (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS). Dikeledi worked for 3 years under Transnet Capital Projects, the first two years as an Engineer-in-Training and the third as a Project Engineer. In 2016, she started working in the private sector as a Civil and Structural Engineer for Peter Bond & Associates. This led to her establishing a Civil, Structural and Project Management company, Mimisa Engineering. She is also appointed as a Sessional Lecturer at WITS. Dikeledi is currently interested in pursuing a PhD in the construction material field. She has participated in a number of conferences, most significant to her heart being the Innovation, Science, Engineering, Education (ISEE) – Gender Issues in STEM Education in 2019, Young Concrete Researchers, Engineers and Technologist Symposium (YCRETS) in 2020 and Knowledge Exchange for Young Scientists (KEYS) Symposium in 2017.
